We are always on the lookout for volunteers - whether it be an extra pair of eyes on poolside, collecting spectator fees, helping to run the club desk, raising our profile, or organising social events.  We cannot do everything on our own, and would appreciate it if you could assist with one of the jobs mentioned.

About Us

We are a quality teaching club, offering excellent value for money swimming lessons in a friendly atmosphere, from non-swimmers to pre-competitive level.

Children are taught to swim the four major strokes.  Emphasis is on stroke technique and water safety - these are seen as priorities.  Other skills include floating, treading water, surface dives (head first & feet first), sculling, recovery of objects and personal survial/self-rescue.

ASA National Swim Awards and Water Skills Awards, other ASA Awards and STA Awards are used to consolidate skills.

We also offer diving lessons to both children and adults; plus swimming lessons or a social/fitness swim for adults.

We are Swim 21 Accredited at Gold Teaching level, have achieved Sport England's Clubmark and have recently achieved N.E. Lincs Council Silver Active Club Accreditation.  We are also an Access Organisation for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award - allowing members 14-25 to complete part of their awards before officially registering.

We meet once a week, on Wednesday evenings at Grimsby Swimming Pool (Scartho Baths), although there are some other sessions for specific groups (see the individual section pages for more information).
